about // built by darthwares, on jev
Every page of your site, read and judged.
dotmap is a site-wide SEO and AEO audit, built and operated by Darthwares. It crawls a website, has a model judge every page for search engines and AI answer engines, and shows the result as a map of dots, one per page, with a report you can share by link.

why // answers with citations
Search results became answers.
Search engines increasingly reply with a written answer and a few cited sources. A page earns one of those citations when a model can lift a clear, self-contained passage from it. That is a property of each page, so it has to be checked page by page.
Most tools either sample a handful of URLs or watch a list of prompts from the outside. We wanted the opposite: read every page a crawler can reach, judge each one on the same rubric, and show the whole site at once so the weak pages are obvious.
how // crawl + judge
One crawl, one call per page.
A same-site crawler fetches your pages and extracts the main content, headings, metadata and structured data. Each page goes to Jev in a single request that returns twelve judgments: seven scores, such as content depth and answer readiness, and five probabilities, such as whether an answer engine could cite the page.
Eighteen deterministic checks cover the technical side: titles, descriptions, headings, canonicals, structured data, response time and links. The two are blended into a score per page and for the site. A 50-page audit takes about three seconds, and AI assistants can run one over MCP.
How an audit works, step by stepprinciples
What we promise, and what we don't.
Scores are estimates, and labelled as such.
A dotmap score says how well a page fits our rubric. It is not a measurement of rankings, citations or revenue, and the product says so wherever a number appears.
Coverage gaps are shown, not hidden.
Pages the crawler found but did not fetch, or could not reach, are listed in the report. An audit describes the pages it read and nothing more.
We audit our own site in public.
dotmap.ai goes through the same grader as everyone else, and we publish the before and after, including the parts that still score badly.
Claims come with sources.
Our articles link the platform documentation they rely on and separate what a source says from what we infer.
the jev family
Built by Darthwares, on Jev.
Darthwares builds and runs dotmap. The judgments come from Jev, a model made by TypeSafe that answers structured questions with calibrated scores instead of generating text. dotmap is one of several tools built on it.

Quick answers about dotmap
- Who makes dotmap?
- dotmap is built and operated by Darthwares. Page judgments are produced by Jev, a model from TypeSafe, which dotmap calls once per page.
- Is dotmap free?
- Yes, dotmap is free during beta. The model cost of each audit is shown live while it runs: about half a cent for 50 pages.
- What does dotmap not do?
- dotmap does not track rankings, and it is not a large-scale prompt monitor. It reads your pages and judges whether a search engine can rank them and an answer engine can quote them. Signed-in users can spot-check up to five questions per site against a live answer engine.
- How do I contact the team?
- Email chibivikramathithan@darthwares.com for questions, feedback or privacy requests.
